Allergic Rhinitis
It is March. The days are getting longer and warmer. Most of us are happier just knowing that spring is on its way. However, those who suffer from seasonal allergies and allergic rhinitis may start to dread the return of pollen, grass, leaves and such.
Allergic rhinitis is one of the most common conditions, affecting approximately 20 per cent of the population. It can be caused by allergies to indoor elements such as dust and animal dander, but has seasonal peaks during the time of year when the outdoors comes back to life.

About Roberta
Roberta Heale has worked in Sudbury for 20 years as an RN, a Nurse Practitioner and, since 2006, a professor in the School of Nursing at Laurentian University. She is a strong advocate for health of individuals, families and communities. This work has recently resulted in her involvement as co-founder of the Sudbury District Nurse Practitioner Clinics, the first family practice in Canada that was developed and governed by Nurse Practitioners. Roberta’s practice is based on the foundation of health promotion and disease prevention and she continues to look for innovative and creative ways to provide information to people to optimize their well being.
