Literacy

 

  e-Channel is the online classroom and meeting space for students, teachers, coaches, trainers and leaders of adult literacy.
     

HRSDC - Literacy in Canada

  The Department of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) is responsible for providing all Canadians with the tools they need to thrive and prosper in the workplace and community. for information on the Federal Government's plan for literacy, visit the HRSDC's Literacy Information pages.
     
Sudbury Vocational Resource Centre
  The Sudbury Vocational Resource Centre's Educational and Workplace Training program provides quality instruction to people who want to improve their basic reading, writing, math and computer skills, which they need in their day to day life. The program respects a person's privacy and involves the person in all parts of programming. There is no cost for the literacy services.
     
St. Albert's
  St. Albert's Adult Learning Centre's programs are delivered in a non-traditional setting which offers flexible daytime and evening hours, individualized instruction, career counselling and associated daycare.
     
The Mid North Network
  The Mid North Network for the Coordination and Development of Adult Learning is a non-profit charitable organization. The Mid North Network is one of 16 regional literacy networks funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Based in Sudbury, the Network covers 11 communities from North Bay to Sault Ste. Marie, and Parry Sound to Sudbury.

Cambrian College's Academic Upgrading

  Cambrian College's Academic Upgrading Program assists you with your employability skills like critical thinking, team building and problem solving, improve your understanding of mathematics, science, English, and computers and more.
     

Independent Learning Centre

  The Independent Learning Centre (ILC) is mandated by the government of Ontario as the province's designated provider of distance education and GED testing.

The Ontario Skills Passport (OSP) provides clear descriptions of the essential skills and work habits important for work, learning and life. Essential Skills are used in virtually all occupations and are transferable from school to work, job to job and sector to sector.

 

 

Grade Expectations Learning Centres helps you achieve your learning goals. We offer: career training, vocational programs, high school credits, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preparation, English as a Second Language instruction, and computer training.  Professional teachers utilize a unique “Integrated Learning Model” to ensure that you receive individualized instruction based on your needs.
