Citizenship and Immigration Canada News Culturescope
Ottawa, September 3, 2010 — Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney leaves tomorrow for an official visit to Europe and Asia.

Toronto, September 1, 2010 — Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney today met with community groups to encourage them to consider sponsoring refugees to come to Canada.

Ottawa, September 1, 2010 — Most long-term visitors from Mexico, Croatia, the Bahamas and 42 other countries and territories can now enter Canada without a medical exam, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) announced today.

Ajax, August 31, 2010 — The Government of Canada is investing more than $1.4 million to help newcomer youth and their families in Durham Region, Dr. Colin Carrie, Member of Parliament for Oshawa and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health announced today, on behalf of the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism.

Ottawa, August 30, 2010 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has launched a process to identify a governing body to regulate immigration consultants, as part of a broader strategy to protect vulnerable would-be immigrants from fraud and crack down on crooked immigration consultants.
